Reams of paper not consistant

The manufactor is not consistant in the quality of paper in the reams. I recently purchased a box of 10 reams and found yesterday when my assistant was out that I had a waste factor of 50% on one ream. I placed another ream in and it ran ok...then I placed the first ream back in the OKI Lazer printer and it again wasted 50%. My assistant said that the waste has been great with and due to jamming.
