A new, NOT-improved smell.

Like other reviewers, I'd been using this hand soap for several years as it was one of the few that didn't leave me with dry hands or a headache due to the smell. This new fresh scent is awful! It's strong, sharp, and headache-inducing almost immediately. I don't know if the new formula has changed moisturizing-wise because I can't even try it due to the new smell. Hopefully, Colgate-Palmolive will alter this formula to more resemble the previous one, and soon! Until then, the search for a replacement is ongoing.

So disappointing!

Just add me to the list of people who have been buying this soap for years because of the mild scent only to be repulsed by the new fragrance. It literally nauseates me. I’m addition, when handling food and cooking, I always want as little fragrance on my hands as possible. I know it’s unlikely you’d bring back the original milder scent but here’s hoping!

Disappointed with new formula

The new scent is overly strong, and the formula feels thinner. I don't understand why a company would add so much fragrance to a product that was very popular as a low-scent, gentle option. I use this one specifically because it is less drying than typical hand soap, but I see company responses saying people should use a different softsoap if they want less fragrance, so I will need to find a new brand.

Lost a loyal customer -new scent reeks!

Would give this zero stars if I could. Why in the world did you change the original aloe scent & ruin a good thing??? The new formula is absolutely awful & stinks. I agree 100% with all the negative reviews about the new formula. This is definitely NOT an improvement - whoever thought this was a good idea should be fired because you will lose customers as the reviews indicate. Count me among them because I will not buy this brand again unless you bring back the original aloe scent. Time to find a new soap & it WON’T be Soft Soap. Returning the 4 refill bottles I bought & will not purchase again unless the formula is changed back. This has been my go-to soap for 25+ years because I liked the mild scent. Like so many others, I have scent allergies & don’t like anything highly scented. Really sad that this company took a good product & completely ruined it with a cheap, strong scent. PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLD FORMULA! Until then, I’m moving on to a different brand. Buh-bye Soft Soap!

The smell is too strong!

I agree with other reviewers about the new scent of this product. I am very sensitive and this is way too strong a scent and it stays on your hands through several washings with other types of soap. Please bring back the old formula.

STINKS!!!

I too have been using this product for years because it was unscented. I am allergic to this new formula. The smell is so strong and it is tearing up my hands. What did you guys do? It seems I can't get the old stuff so I will find another brand.

Change in Scent is Awful

The change in scent is awful, just awful. The original scent was the reason I continually bought refills of this product. Now I am shopping around for a much more "palatable" scent of hand soap. What a terrible move on Softsoap's part.

You RUINED this product by changing the scent. I bought it for years because of its subtle, almost non-existent scent. Why would you do such a thing? The new scent smells of cheap toilet air freshener. Please bring it back or I can't purchase again.
