Hello. There was no reason for you guys to changes/add the scent. I'm a person with high allergy problems. This soap was the only one I was able t for almost a decade. I ordered a gallon of it other day only to find out there is strange smell that triggers my allergy. Then I had to return it. Now, I have to find another hand soap that doesn't trigger my allergy. Please, please change it back. I really don't want to use any other soap.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Why did you change the fragrance?

The old fragrance for the aloe vera lotion was great, this fruity apple fragrance IMO is not for this hand lotion.

New but not improved fragrance

So disappointed that the formula has changed to a strong, stinky fragrance. I'm super sensitive to fragrance and have been buying this particular Aloe Vera hand soap for years because it doesn't make me sneeze or gag. The new fragrance is SO strong, I can't use it, it makes me nauseous and the smell remains on one's hands.

Smells awful now! Smell makes my eyes water

The new fragrance smells awful and makes my eyes water. From reading the reviews here it is obvious you have a problem. The only positive reviews in the last 9 months are the ones from "Home Tester Club" that are obviously added here to pad the rating over 3 stars. Please bring back the old Aloe Vera soap that we all used to love.

New fragrance stinks

I've used soft soap soothing aloe vera for years and loved that it had an very light scent, rinsed off well, and didn't give my hands eczema in the winter. None of that is true anymore. The new formula is awful. It stinks like bad breath and the smell won't get off your hands. I taste it in my mouth when I take a drink after I wash my hands, it's that strong. It doesn't rinse off and it gets on my contacts. All I want is an unscented soap that washes my hands and rinses off well. I hate strong fragrances. Why can't people ever leave a good thing alone?

Strong Scent & Irritating New Formula

For years, your Aloe Softsoap was the only liquid soap that had a pleasant, mild scent and didn't irritate my skin. As a daycare provider, I wash my hands countless times a day and always had Softsoap refills on hand. Unfortunately, new formula has awfully strong scent, my skin is extremely itchy and super dried out already. Prior formula was a 5 star product. Sorry to have to search for new brand now.

A new, NOT-improved smell.

Like other reviewers, I'd been using this hand soap for several years as it was one of the few that didn't leave me with dry hands or a headache due to the smell. This new fresh scent is awful! It's strong, sharp, and headache-inducing almost immediately. I don't know if the new formula has changed moisturizing-wise because I can't even try it due to the new smell. Hopefully, Colgate-Palmolive will alter this formula to more resemble the previous one, and soon! Until then, the search for a replacement is ongoing.

Just add me to the list of people who have been buying this soap for years because of the mild scent only to be repulsed by the new fragrance. It literally nauseates me. I’m addition, when handling food and cooking, I always want as little fragrance on my hands as possible. I know it’s unlikely you’d bring back the original milder scent but here’s hoping!
