They have changed the scent, now I need a new brand

I have used the brand of soap as my main go to for years. I enjoyed the scent as it was not too strong. It was not drying to my skin and it worked well. They have recently changed the formulation, leaving me very disappointed and in need of a new brand of hand soap. The new smell is terrible! It stays on your skin and is overpowering. It's all you can smell for hours afterwards. It is a sickly sweet smell, similar to scented laundry products. I hate it. And it dries out my skin. My husband says that he hates the smell too and says that it does not work as well as it used to at getting his hands clean after working. Why couldn't you leave well enough alone? It was perfectly fine before you changed it. I will never purchase this soap again as they have ruined it. I am smelling that gross smell from my hands as I type and it is nauseating.
Cons: Dries Skin, Unpleasant Smell, does not work well for very dirty hands
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

For years the go to hand soap - Not anymore

Why would you change the soap to scented? Why would you think people want their hands to smell like perfume all day? If I want to wear a scent I will wear my perfume. The new scent is awful!

Your new fragrance STINKS.

I wouldn't use this stinky new fragrance if you gave it to me. I'd rather wash my hands with laundry soap at least that smells much better!

"NEW" fragrance is a sickening sweet strong smell!

We have been using this (Aloe Vera) for years and suddenly it has a "new" fragrance. I was WOWed, as in Wow, does this stuff stink! I washed my hands and literally stopped a few minutes later and said "What is that smell!?" to my wife. Turned out it was the new and improved version. Now we need to figure out what to do with 3 50 oz refills of this stuff. Normally we would use it and not buy again, but this is nasty stuff.

Horrible Smell!!!

If I could give this soap a "0" star rating I would. I have been using the old version forever and bought 4 new containers of the new stuff. The smell is horrible and irritates my nose and gives me a headache. I could use the old version without any issues as the smell was light. I even would buy the old stuff to put in my in-laws bathroom so I could wash my hands without a "smelly" soap! This new stuff is disgusting. I won't be buying softsoap anymore.

Terrible smell

I've used this soap for years and been a happy customer until now. That all ended with the horrible new 'scent". I can't imagine the rationale behind this change but the smell is very unpleasant, overpowering and long lasting. Sorry to say, I'll be using a different product going forward.

HORRIBLE SMELL - BEWARE -THEY HAVE ADDED FRAGRANCE

OMG IT STINKS - I HAVE BEEN USING THE SS ALOE VERA FOR YEARS BECAUSE IT DIDN'T HAVE ANY ADDED FRAGRANCE AND WITH ALL MY ALLERGIES, IT WAS THE ONLY LIQUID HAND SOAP I COULD USE.....WE BUY BIG BOTTLE AND FILL OUR AUTOMATIC DISPENSERS. HUBBY BOUGHT SOME AND FILLED THE KITCHEN DISPENSER LAST WEEK. I PUT MY HAND UNDER, SOAP CAME OUT AND HORRIBLE SMELL. HAD TO REWASH HANDS WITH SCENT FREE LAUNDRY SOAP TO GET RID OF SMELL OFF MY HANDS.....LOOKED UNDER SINK, GRABBED BOTTLE AND IT NOW SAYS "FRESH SCENT" UGH......DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE ALLERGIES TO SCENTS, HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE ASTHMA, OTHER BREATHING PROBLEMS AND CANNOT USE SCENTED PRODUCTS - YOU HAD SUCH A GOOD PRODUCT AND YOU RUINED IT BY ADDING "FRESH SCENT" TO IT - NOW I HAVE TO SEE IF SOME OTHER COMPANY IS AWARE OF THE HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE WITH FRAGRANCE ALLERGIES, ASTHAMA AND OTHER BREATH PROBLEMS AND HOPEFULLY SOMEONE MAKES A FRAGRANCE FREE LIQUID HAND SOAP - I DO HAVE A BAR SOAP THAT IS "FF" THAT I USE IN BATHROOM, BUT DON'T LIKE BAR SOAP IN KITCHEN OR GUEST BATHROOMS

PARTING IS SUCH SWEET SORROW FAREWELL SOFTSOAP

Me and my entire family have always used soft soap products faithfully. However, we noticed the last time we purchased this product we got the two large refills of the original scent and I must say it made us ill. I kept trying to figure out what the horrible smell was as it was making me sick to my stomach. Then my sinuses went crazy. My entire household allergies was messed up. All we could smell was some kind of strong perfumey like scent. We had to get this item out of our house. We tried to give it to some people but everyone refused as they say the product has changed for the worse and they did not want it. I ended up giving it to VA. The thing is we loved the product before and could not be without it, now we never want to see or smell it again. Please change the product back to it's original formula. It use to smell so good. Until, it is no one in my family or friends say they will buy it again. We also use other products as well of yours but who knows you are probably going to change those too so we had better get prepared to start looking else where for those as well. Why can't companies just leave things alone. If it is not broke stop trying to fix them because you are just making it worse. Thanks for all the previous wonderful years we enjoyed using your products. A once upon a time loyal customer but not any more.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
