Unfortunate formula change

I’ve been using this soap for as long as I can remember, and it is my FAVORITE for two reasons. It’s non drying, and basically fragrance free. My hands were always left clean, but now smelling like anything. Today I bought my usual several packages and was blown away when I popped the cap. The new fragrance is STRONG, and smells like old perfume. Familiarly unpleasant. Please bring back the old formula! In the meantime I’ll have to buy generic versions of this, that don’t lather as well. Or find something new entirely. Which I don’t want to do because this is was my favorite.

New “Fresh Scent” triggers perfume allergy

Have been purchasing aloe vera hand wash and refills for many, many years. More recently, the packaging and obviously fragranced “fresh scent” has created a problem in our household due to perfume allergies. Every time I order from various outlets showing the original label, the ones that are delivered are the newer perfumed “fresh scent” bottles.
Is there any of the original formulas available through you?

Can't Use New Formula Causes Alergic Reaction

After many years of exclusively using the old formula of this soap at home I used the new formula for the 1st time last week. Within 2 days my hands became red and itchy, an alergic reaction that happens when I use soap that's not Softsoap Soothing Clean Liquid Hand Soap. I stopped using the new formula immediately and fortunately found a refill bottle of the old formula. I've tried other Softsoap prducts in the past, even the anti bacterial, with the same red, itchy results. I always returned to the old Soothing Clean Liquid Hand Soap, Aloe Vera Scented. No more however. Too bad the formula was changed. I'll now have to find another brand of liquid soap that doesn't cause an alergic reaction. It wouldhave been nice to have had a heads up or a notice on the label that there was a new formula. Would have saved me some discomfort, worry and stress.

New Aloe Vera handsoap scent is HORRIBLE!!

I have purchased the soothing aloe vera softsoap for years. I specifically purchased it because it had a very light, subtle smell that was unnoticeable. The "new fragrance" is truly awful. It caused my son's allergies to flare up and triggered my migraines. Not only that, the fragrance lingers for hours and does not wash off! The new formula is also harsh and made my skin raw. I threw the whole bottle away, we just couldn't stand it! Why on earth would you want to change a product that used to work so well? Such a shame. I will never buy this again.

Perfection has been ruined!!!!

What once was perfect has been ruined!!!! The previous formulation had a subtle, pleasant fragrance and left hands supple. It was beloved by all in our household. The new formulation has a strong, cheap, unpleasant fragrance and leaves hands dry. Additionally, the smell is triggering allergies/headaches in family members. As other reviewers have remarked, we too in the past have traveled to multiple stores on occasion to procure our beloved Soothing Clean, but no more. The remake is a bust for us. We have no choice other than to look for a replacement brand/product.

Horrible, Nauseating New Scent

I had purchased the Soft Soap Aloe Vera version for YEARS. I can't even recall when I started it was so long ago. Imagine my surprise when I bought some refills and noticed the nauseating new scent. And it lingered on my hands. Horrible. WHY? I'm not usually overly sensitive to scents, but it was just so STRONG it gave me a headache. Into the garbage it went. I can't imagine any long-term customer would have said this was a good idea. Did you even test this with actual customers? And what's with all the new "Home Tester Club" positive reviews! Did you have to pay people to flood the review section with positive reviews to counteract all the negative reviews people have been giving. Sad.

They changed the scent to flowery and it's is way to overpowering and can't even rinse the smell away. It is all I smell all day long now. Old one had NO SCENT and made it nice to use. New also dries hands out in 1 day of use. Please Please Please revert back to the old aloe vera no scent and make a new separate line for the smelly stuff. Probably am allergic to this new scent, hands are sore and dry in one day. Only reason I ever used this brand with aloe vera was the no scent and made my hands soft, now both of those are gone forever. WHY WHY WHY

The NEW Frangrance absolutely STINKS!!!

I have been buying the Softsoap Soothing Clean Liquid Hand Soap for quite a while now because I just loved it. However, while I was on vacation, I bought three bottles with the new fragrance, and was shocked at just how AWFUL the new scent is!!! The old "Aloe Vera Fresh Scent" was just WONDERFUL, so I don't understand why Softsoap would change the fragrance. I will now be in search of a liquid hand soap that offers the same moisturizing effect, but without the HORRIBLE new fragrance!
Pros: Cleans Effectively, Moisturizing, Softens Hands
Cons: Unpleasant Smell
