Filing cabinet was listed as "commercial" grade but i would say it is not very high quality. Possibly should be listed lite-commercial! It also arrived with a puncture in the box and when unpacking it it had a very small dent in the back. I decided not to send it back but emailed Staples for a possible credit. That was 4 days ago and i haven't heard a word form them yet. So i am giving the filing cabinet a 4 star rating but i am giving their service a 2 star rating.

Very desciptive and well wrriten

The cabinet met my needs. It was the right hight. It accomodated hanging files. Although it was metal it did not distract from the wood that prevails in my study. The black helped it to blend in with the dark woods of my desk and some of the book shelves.

We needed to replace a lockable two drawer file cabinet from a desk set-up that was falling apart. We are very pleased with the size of the drawers in this product as the depth is much more than our previous cabinet. There is a lock with two keys (so we have a spare) and a toggle button on each drawer to keep them in place when unlocked. We had paid for assembly but the assembly company called us to let us know that they thought it might only need the handles put on and did we want to cancel and have it refunded. When we opened the box it was fully assembled.
