Adhesive not up to par

Brought these to compare to a major brand tape. Based on the 4 star rating I must have received a defective batch. I started noticing that sheets of paper I had hung on the wall were falling down. I assumed that the surface was not clean but this was not the issue. I unrolled some tape from the dispenser and noted that it would barely adhere to anything. Either too little adhesive was applied to the tape or it was a defective batch. I have already purchased more major brand tape and set aside my 2 remaining rolls of Staples brand.

This tape is so good. The other Brandt's tape just doesn't stick as well or dispense as nicely.
