Smells

I bought this because there was no Dawn Free and Clear on the shelf. It said, "No UNECESSARY INGREDIENTS." Then I start using it and there is this nauseating smell. Is perfume necessary for cleaning dishes? No, therefore it is false advertising. Hint: People who are choosing this, do not want perfume or dyes. If they get perfume or dyes they will not purchase again. $$$
Cons: Strong Odor

I rarely complain about a disappointing product or post a review. I came to the site to do so and see that I'm definitely not alone in my irritation at the "NO UNNECESSARY Ingredients" labeling and NO mention on the label of the "Mild citrus scent" I find mentioned here on the site. First time I used this (after my store brand fragrance-free wasn't available), every family member complained of their water bottles tasting like flowers. So I re-rinsed everything twice and it's still in the silicone parts of the lids. I've always felt Palmolive was a trusted brand. No more. Truly deceptive labeling.

"no unnecssary ingredients" doesn't include fragrence!!!!

I was looking for a gentle dish soap that still cleans dishes...without fragrance. The first bottle I bought was unscented. Clear bottle...clear liquid. "No Unnecessary Ingredients" Worked great. Bought the second bottle which looked the same. Poured it into the dishes. Suddenly the dishes smell like perfume. Still cleans well but I don't want my dishes smelling like perfume. That is not a necessary ingredient. Fragrance is listed in a subtle way on the bottle...easy to overlook. Change the packaging for the bottles with fragrance. It is so difficult to find products without a scent! People with allergies /skin sensitivities don't want fragrance on everything.
Pros: Easy On Skin
Cons: Strong Odor

I was excited to use this product - and as a result, am very sorry I purchased it! The bottle says, 'no unnecessary chemicals, no heavy fragrances, no irritating dyes.' Well, I have experienced all 3. The most offensive is the smell. It is soooo overpowering that I can barely stand to be near it. I have diluted the detergent about 6 times (using the soap and refilling it to the top with water) and the smell is still easy too strong - and offensive - not a clean fresh smell at all. And it dried my hands out as well. I will not use this again. The exact opposite of 'pure and clean.' And NO I did not receive this product as a sample.
Cons: Harsh On Skin, Strong Odor

This item uses very sneaky and misleading wording. It is free of UNNECESSARY ingredients. That only means that they deem artificial fragrance and harmful chemicals to be necessary. I'm very disappointed in this purchase, and I will return to avoiding palmolive product lines.
