They are a bit thin but work for most uses. They are also a bit gray so if your stationery is bright white they will really stand out.

These are wonderful as for writing down reminders while giving speeches. These note pads can also be used as everyday reminders when shopping. I have also used them as tiny reminders as sketches when on trips to let me remember what the main picture looked like when I begin to draw a picture. They can also be used as tiny little palettes in this way a different shade can be created and I can write as the bottom of this color so later I can see which colors I mixed to make the color again. I like that is package has at least 500 notepads and they are divided by 100 to a package this way the rest are protected in the plastic wrap so moisture will not deteriorate them or they won't get damaged so when I open the next package I know that they will be as good to use as the day I purchased them.
had a lot of vocabulary to learn--good old fashioned flashcards to the rescue!

Our office goes through over 100 of these index cards each day. Our customer records (kept in a card file)are typed or updated onto these cards. We have a client base that extends back over the past 40+ years and these cards withstand the test of time.
I needed a pack of unlined 3 x 5 cards. I found shelves full of 3 x 5 lined or ruled cards in several different package-size units. Only one option on the blank cards - 500. A several years supply but no option. Cards are fine. Choice not so much.

thin not "card" material--just cut pape

I expect index cards to be thick so that they can stand up in a box--like old-fashioned library cards or thick like greeting cards. Index cards are thicker than these thin cheap papers. This is simply thin paper. If I wanted 20-lb or less paper cut into this size I'd get it but don't call this "index cards."
