This is an excellent printer for the price; however it does not automatically or even ask if I want to delete my old version. As a result I was getting "communication" errors when trying to print. I took it upon myself to "uninstall" my old version and then had no problem.

I hate it! I took it back. It is definitely not up to the quality I expect from Staples. On the few sheets that managed to make it through the printer the print on one side showed through on the other.
