Product has gotten worse

I've purchased these notebooks for years ... and use them frequently (on every project I use one or two to keep notes and do planning). So I want a reasonably good product but not something so expensive I would need to worry about conserving. I broke open the latest set and suddenly noticed that the paper curls when I write on it. Turns out what had been thin but acceptable paper is now even thinner - way too flimsy you can see through it; you can't write on both sides. I still had some of the old notebooks to compare - same SKU but the new product is definitely inferior.

A really good notebook for school and less expensive than mead/five-star/etc. Color choices are nice.
