I thought that I had opened my first bag incorrectly or that it was a fluke, but every bag rips at the seal. There is absolutely nothing easy about opening these bags.

These bags rip right apart. They are not cheap in price and should not rip at the seam so easily. I will not buy this version again.

Been a lifelong Ziploc fan until the easy open tab design. I have problems sealing the bags. INCOMPLETE SEAL MOST OF THE TIME. The seal breaks before geyying to the end of the bag. Prior design was far superior. I no longer have confidence in these bags. Never had a problem before easy open tabs came along. Will look at other brands. Very disappointed. Used to buy Ziploc exclusively. Was my favorite brand.

these bags are incredibly difficult to open. I am not uncoordinated or weak, but it takes every ounce of strength I have to pry these bags open. Is there a special technique one is supposed to use?

This morning was the last straw. Since the new design, the bags have become virtually IMPOSSIBLE to use! The bags are sealed in the box, so you need to use the "easy open" (ha) tab to open them. The quality of the plastic right above the seal is SO WEAK it rips almost every time you attempt to open it. If you are lucky enough to open the bag initially and are able to utilize it for its intended purpose, it will then turn on you when you wish to retrieve whatever you have "stored" inside. I've thrown nearly an entire box away unused because of this issue. Until Ziploc has a useable product, I will no longer throw my money away on a box of frustration disguised as something I once used with regularity.
