Bags tear almost every time I use one. When pulling apart the first time, the red stripes completely separates from the blue part, leaving me with a piece of plastic in my hand. Sometimes the sides separate, they have no strength.

The side seams constantly tear when opening the "easy" tab. Then it's almost impossible to re-seal the bag once the seam is torn. I just tried opening a bag that I had a sandwich in and the tab tore across the top of the bag. So frustrating. The freezer bags are great, but I'm disappointed in the storage bags. :-(

I also noticed the easy open tab tears, on every single bag. I understand why they added the tab, I had a hard time opening the old bags too. Maybe add a raised plastic bump on the inside of the tab, so the bag tabs stay a little separated

I "pay up" for Ziploc bags because it is a trust brand - but recently I've noticed your quality is slipping. I use about 50 bags per month, and in the last few months I've noticed, as others have said, that the easy open tab rips when I got to open them, for the first time! In case you're wondering, it's always the blue side of the seal. It rips right above the seal and makes opening it sooooo less than easy. Dang near impossible.

Like many other reviewers of this product, I am highly disappointed with the quality of this new design. The easy open tab is neither easy to open nor easy to seal, and it often rips when trying to reopen the bags. It seems cheaply made compared to the old bags. What happened to this once great brand?

We have used all sizes of ziploc bags for years. These quart size freezer bags are not usable. When you open the bag it is difficult and tears off the top part of the zipper making the bag impossible to reseal. This zig zag design was a terrible idea.
