Fall apart Qt bags

We usually buy these because they are great storage bags and the price is fair. However, this last box we bought are all splitting apart when we first open them. I think we must have a 'lemon' batch. Disappointing.

Recently every time I go to open a bag with the red tab the top of the bag splits and often must be discarded! It is a waste of good money to buy this product and have so many defective bags!

Bought these in bulk and they are junk

I am very picky about my brand in freezer bags and have almost always purchased the ziploc brand over my local store brand but this new ziploc doesnt zip they just tear right off and not useful and I end up throwing them away without being used because they are no longer useful. I have bought these is in bulk and I'm now stuck with them.

These bags separate in the upper corners

Never use to have a problem with ziplock. Now half of them split open in corners by the zipper lock. They are not airtight! Very disappointed in ziplock quart size bags. And i bought a years supply.

bags rip

Like others who have posted comments, I also have found the majority of the storage quart bags with easy open tabs to rip trying to open them (sometimes right from the box; sometimes after food has been put inside after a couple days in the refrigerator). This has only happened recently with a purchase we made of a value pack (56 bags). Clearly the force required to separate the tabs is greater than the shear strength of the plastic of the bag just below the tabs. This seems either a problem with the plastic itself (material and/or thickness) or perhaps the dimensions and/or tolerances of the blue locking seams allowing in most cases a much tighter seal than desired. My wife and I like the convenience of these bags and likely will purchase another box when needed. But if this trend continues, that will be the last.

What is with these bags?!!

Like everyone else, I've had bags rip along the seem after opening, the "zip" is really tough to close, or it comes apart from its side. I started to buy Ziploc again after getting sick of the cheapness of generics, but might as well go back since I'm paying way more for garbage! We're about 6 bags into the box & the easy open tabs pull apart from the bag. Once sealed, almost impossible to reopen without tearing the bag. I hope this is just a bad batch, as we have used this & other sizes for yeas. 24 count, Quart storage bag, item #871693, UPC 0 25700 00330 4, batch #U0290307E1542.
I would recommend this to a friend!

NEVER thought I'd be disappointed with Ziploc!

I'm STEAMED! I've been paying more for the BEST for many years now, but today I dropped a partially-consumed roll of Braunsweiger into Ziploc Quart Storage bag and shook it to get the roll to the bottom, and "THUNK!" the roll of Braunsweiger hit the floor! Oh, well, I thought...one bad bag isn't all that terrible --- so I did the same thing with ANOTHER bag, and "WHUMP!" the Braunsweiger hit the floor AGAIN! My Mama didn't raise no fools, so I WON'T be buying anymore ZIPLOC bags! BUT THE LEAST ZIPLOC COULD DO WOULD BE TO BUY ME A NEW ROLL OF BRAUNSWEIGER...that one had to go to the garbage!
