I always go through quart size storage bags so I jumped at the chance to get these. Sometimes I get the store brand but they always seem to break one way or another. I've never had a problem with the ziplock brand. The clasps always seem to work and the bags are strong and sturdy. I'd definitely recommend these.

How did these get to market? The pink areas you grip to open the bags tear within two or uses. The part of the bag you grip to open tears away right at the seal making this reusable bag difficult to use so why bother...

CONVENIENT DURABLE BAGS!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a toddler and anytime I leave the house, I am always packing his snacks using the Ziploc brand bags. They are extremely durable and do not leak. These bags are always in my kitchen and always on hand. The best thing is that they are disposable and leaves me with less storage containers to wash. Overall, they are perfect for storing almost anything and great to always have in your kitchen especially if you have children.

They stay open for me to fill them and that really is a time saver. They are very versatile, not just for storage, I can also use them in the microwave to defrost and reheat. AND, it even says on the box that they are reusable, just hand wash and dry first (obviously not recommended for raw meat)! Overall I think these bags are an excellent value.

These new bags have a sawtooth perforation in the blue part of the easy lock tab that rips every single time we use a bag. Once that rips off, you have to use your fingernail to get the zipper open. It closes just fine, but every time it rips upon opening.

Why do they Rip??

Of course I've been using Ziploc bags for many years and have been very happy with them. My husband was making lunch for work this morning and showed me how when you open the top the tab rips right off into your hand. I told him the same exact thing happened to me the other day.... Of course it still zippered closed but he showed me as he was trying to open it that you cannot get it open without the tab, you have to wrestle it open. How disappointing. There was nothing wrong with the old design and I will not be able to use Ziploc bags any longer. Too frustrating.

Wasting a lot of bags with new seal

I've been using Ziploc bags forever and with the new design I have ripped many bags trying to get them open for an initial use. I've had quite a few that I get open without ripping but then they don't seal. Help!! Is there a trick to the new design?
