These bags have gotten thinner

I use the quart size storage bags mostly for sandwiches in my daily lunches packed for work. I made the switch from the cheaper store brands to Ziploc several years ago, specifically because I noticed a difference in quality; store brand bags allowed odors to pass through while Ziploc bags did not. My most recent purchase of Ziploc bags is disappointing, as there is a noticeable difference in the thickness of the bag material, and I believe this will affect the quality and my main reason for using these bags. I believe the snack size bags went through a similar change a while ago, which is also disappointing, but less impactful to my personal use. I understand that as a society we should look for ways to minimize the amounts of single-use plastics that are harming the environment. For my part, I typically reuse by Ziploc bags for a week before putting them in the collection at my local grocery store for recycling. I would greatly prefer that the thickness of the bags is not where we choose to conserve, or to increase profits, if that is the motive. I will try these bags out, but already anticipate the change in thickness will force me to switch to either freezer bags or non-disposable solid containers.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Better than store brand

Ziplock has never disappointed me as this is the one of the few name brand products I purchase because of their quality. This new item is nice how it enlarges on the bottom which I think can hold more than the standard quart bags. Good product and will definitely purchase again.

Just another zip lock

Less mess

This allows for the bag to stay folded down for easier filling. I like that they stand up while filling, there is much less mess with this design. I use storage bags frequently and this feature will allow me to transfer leftovers much easier and with less mess!
