The soap lathered well and there was no slimy feeling after use. However, the statement "washes away bacteria" doesn't mean it's antibacterial.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This new hand soap from Softsoap is becoming my absolute favorite for washing hands, and this is why: the "gently coconut" has proven true to the statement on the label of the bottle, I don't like those overly and exaggerated coconut smell products, the scent is truly gentle, mild; I absolutely like the simplicity of the bottle's design, and the shape and size of it as well. The product itself is amazing, it is hypoallergenic, great for sensitive skin, this formula states to have over 70% plant based ingredients and no parabens and phthalates. I love that when using this soap, I only need a small amount, it doesn't produce all this heavy foam like the chemically loaded products, it gets cleansed away fast, making it great to reduce water consumption when washing hands, I love that it gets removed quickly, unlike other products that seem to stay on the skin, and you have to really rub and rub with lots of running water. Wonderful improvement Softsoap!
