Hanging Strips

When I first got these strips I thought they were a pretty good idea. I put my stuff up on the wall and everything looked real nice, it's been up for a couple months now. I just moved into a new house anyway I was sitting at my dining room table the other day and all of a sudden there was a crash and I looked up and my HANGIING HAD FELL OFF THE WALL! Don't know if the heat melted the glue or what but the strips came right off the wall and were no longer able to adhere to the wall at all. So now I am back to square one. Juat glad it didn't fall on one of my cats!

Need stronger adhesion

I was excited about using these strips because I had just repaired all the nail holes and repainted the walls in my new home. I read the instructions and made sure the walls were clean, although there wasn't much to do since they were only painted a few months earlier. I spent many hours placing my pictures and was very happy with how easily the project went. I made sure to have the recommended size and number of strips on each picture. In fact, some even had one more than recommended. About a month later, my framed wedding invitation fell off the wall. I cleaned the wall and waited for it to dry and put it back up again. It fell again. I removed the strips and put two new ones on. It is currently staying. A few weeks later, an 8x10 lightweight frame with glass fell and shattered. This frame had two strips holding it. One at the center top and one at center bottom. I have not bothered to replace the frame and try to rehang it yet. I would think that for the price of these strips, they should hold better. The reason I gave them 3 stars is because they do remove easily and there is no paint removed.

Picture Hanging Strips

I love the picture hanging strips. I can never seem to hang a picture straight without a wire on the back of the frame. With this product just peel, position and press. if it is not perfect just adjust. It's so easy! Then you can remove the picture and remove the hook without damaging the wall.

When I discovered how easy it is to use the picture hanger strips, I'll never use anything else again. My favorite part about them besides the fact they can easily be removed with no holes in the wall that have to be covered up, is the fact you can easily adjust the picture to make it straight with little effort.

Mirror on the back of a door?

Our bedroom had no place to hand a full length mirror except for the back of our bedroom door. As you know, nails and doors don't mix well.
The other problem was the cardboard backing on the lightweight mirror (not glass) we got was suspect. Sure enough when I gave it a little tug, the brittle hot glue just gave and the whole back came off. Our door has a habit of slamming when we get a good breeze, so the mirror would have come flying off the door the first time it slammed.
Command Picture Hanging Strips to the rescue.
With three strips, two on the top corners and one along the bottom, the mirror stays put. And we've even had the door slam a few times with no ill effects to the mirror.
Couldn't have done it any other way!

Metal Dry Erase Calendars Nightmare

I found these great metal dry erase calendars, each one a single month, for our office. After fussing for almost two hours to arrange them in a square using nails (and many nail holes later) we found a problem...
The idea was that as planning calendars, once the current month was done, we could shuffle them around with next month becoming the current month and so on. However, when we tried it for the first time we discovered that the nail mounts are in slightly DIFFERENT places on each calendar. So while they all look perfect in the original position, they looked terrible when swapped around!
Command Picture Hanging Strips to the rescue.
We put two strips on every calendar panel and lined all four up in less than 15 min. Since all four panels are exactly the same size, the strips on the wall are interchangeable. Now when it's time to swap them, they zip off easily and reattach to their new spot in seconds!
I should have start with the hanging strips in the first place.
