It is a handy visual depository for pendaflex files and for easy retrieval. However if it is dropped on a hard surface it tends to break apart and is no longer usable.
These boxes are a good size for books files or miscellaneous supplies. They are not so large that they become too heavy to manage once full. The lids snap securely and they stack easily.
Where to begin? The actual box and lid seem fine but everything *attached* to it is shoddy as all get out. Within an hour of bringing it home one of the handles popped off and we cannot figure out how to get it back on without breaking it. Then one of the plastic feet fell out. Ugh. Don’t waste your money.
I understand there is a huge mark-up on these totes. It is just a reality. Staples is featuring its brand in the stores. This top fits well and stays on the box without sliding off like on some competitors. The box is a couple bucks less than the other brands carried in my local store and the same size. These are file storage boxes and their shape is squared off enough to make them useful. I will purchase more to store my closed files as storage until I can destroy the files. I just wish the boxes pricing would more correctly reflect the cost of manufacturing them with a reasonable profit.
