Containers are fine but the latch hinges have a tendency to slide out of their mountings. As long as you're not depending on the lids to stay put in other words kept in a stationary place these work just fine. But if you're moving them via vehicle I'd recommend that you put tape around the whole box for the trip to make sure they stay shut.
