A bit slow but perfect for tight spaces

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got tired of cutting bank statements into tiny pieces and when I’d go to recycle it would make a big mess. Of course a shredder would be ideal but I honestly didn’t think I’d find space for it in my NYC apartment. This shredder however is perfect. It’s slim and sleek. It’s about the size of an 8 gallon trash bin and placed sideways against the wall it takes up little wall space. I love that it has casters which enables this shredder to glide across the floor without having to lift it. It was extremely easy to set up. Took me all of 5 minutes. The bin is quite spacious and it’s still not full. There is a viewing window so you know when it’s time to empty. I’ve been shredding bank statements (of course!) other sensitive information and even credit cards. The shredder handled it all like a champ. Not one jam yet. It is a bit noisy and slow but all shredders are noisy. As far as speed - it’s worth it for the smaller size. I also love that you just slide the top to turn it on. It feels high tech and is also convenient.

Outstanding Performance

I actually was in the market to replace my current shredder when I received this one and I had no idea what I was missing. Let me start with how easy it was to assemble you just pop the wheels on and then the top and it’s ready. I keep my shredder in my pantry because I open all of my mail in my kitchen so it was convenient. It fits perfectly where I ended to keep it! The bin is absolutely amazing and holds quite a bit of paper. The first thing I tried was about 10 sheets of medical papers I needed shredded and it handled it beautifully. The motor is so quiet compared to what I was expecting from this size of machine. I love how you slide the top over to reveal the shredder and slide it back to turn it off. This makes me feel comfortable for my curious 3 year old’s fingers. I love the simple yet sleek design and look as well. There’s not a thing I would change about this shredder and I’d recommend it to anyone.

Perfect shredder for your home office

It was small enough to slide right underneath my desk and with rollers on the bottom it slides in and out so easily. It can shred up to 12 papers at one time and with ease. I thought it was very easy to use and wasn't too loud. The bin is a nice size so you are not always having to empty it and it is very easy to pull out and empty when you need to do that. I would definitely recommend this for a small office.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This 20-sheet micro-cut shredder runs very quiet and is simple to set up. The instructions are really simple and only basic steps are needed to start using this shredder. Make sure to use the shredder lubricant sheet to lubricate the blades so it performs like it should. There is one included but make sure you continue to use the lubricant sheets at least twice a month. This shredder shreds paper into very small pieces and the paper just glides in easily. Having wheels on it allows me to roll it around as needed. This way I can place it where I need it or store it under my desk when I don't have to use it for a while. The features are quite nice. With a straight feed it's nice to know they thought of little fingers that might go into the chute thereby detecting and stopping the shredder immediately at the slightest touch. I run our small business in our home and have small children also so this is a wonderful feature to have. I always supervise my children and they usually don't go in my office but I really think this is a needed feature. There are plenty of status lights that let the operator know what's going on during operation. There is overheat protection overload protection and jam protection. The wastebasket is very large and holds a lot so I don't have to dump it often. It slides out and slides back easily so I have no issues dumping the shreds. The window allows you to see plus the wastebasket full indicator will make sure you know when it needs dumped. And if it matters much it has a nice modern appearance and looks appealing. I am very pleased with this shredder and if you have a small business or just need to shred personal documents credit cards CDs and DVDs then this is a great one to get.

Good for light to moderate use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great shredder for low to moderate use. It is quiet shreds well and has several features that make shredding quick and safe. My favorite features are the cover for the blades and a crevice. The crevice keeps fingers away from the sharp blades but also helps hold sheets of paper straight so the paper does not twist and clog the blades. However because the crevice is deep the machine can only shred the standard 8.5x11inches paper or smaller. It also can only handle about 12 sheets of paper or less. I was still able to easily shred some thick credit cards that contained metal in them. Overall I was happy with the power of the shredder. Although we never experienced a clog the top of the machine can be lifted up to give access to the blade. The shredder also has a reverse function if needed. The capacity of the machine works for low to moderate use. It would need to be emptied a lot if it were used heavily and would need frequent breaks to cool down if used heavily. We never had it over heat for us. This machine has worked well in our home office. We have been able to shred our sensitive documents easily. When not in use we unplug it and slide the lid over the blades. We do have small children in our home and unfortunately the lid does not lock. For this reason we are mindful to put it away out of reach. The machine has four small wheels which can roll well on hard floors. These wheels would be too small to roll on a carpet or rug. We like to be able to roll it under a table where our children don’t have easy access to it. It’s a great shredder for an office. It would not work for heavy use but does well for light to moderate use. We love that it handles heavy duty tasks of thick credit cards and staples without clogging. Overall we have been happy with it and would recommend it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Staples 20 Sheet Micro-Cut Commercial Shredder is ABSOLUTELY GREAT!! I run a small business out of my house creating shirts sweaters and other custom products for my customers so I was stoked to get to try this shredder out because I hadn’t gotten one yet and having to cut up confidential mail to throw it away was a hassle! This shredder is commercial strength so it has a very large bin capacity. I’ve had the shredder for around close to a month or so & it’s only about a quarter of the way full I haven’t had to empty it yet once and I literally use it daily while going through m paperwork from my orders and stuff I always shred any paperwork with customers info on it after I’ve gotten their order packed up & I get multiple orders daily. It can even shred old debit/credit cards without any issue at all. It doesn’t slow it down or cause a jam either I’ve tried that out & was blown away at how quickly & easily this shredder shredded the debit card! Due to this shredder being commercial it isn’t tiny but it’s also not ginormous. It will need a little space in your office or workplace wherever you will be keeping it. It’s also a little heavy because it is made of quality material & very tough! I’ve had compact size very light shredders in the past and they were junk. Always got jammed & could hardly cut through anything. This shredder was absolutely the best one I could have hoped to receive to use for my small out of home business. It has every quality I needed and plus sooo many more! If you’re considering buying it PLEASE BELIEVE ME AND DO IT! YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!

Love the automatic feeder

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We deal with a lot of confidential documents at home and our new 12 sheets shredder with the 150 pages autofeed has been a huge help to dispose of the documents. The unit is very easy to use and was ready out of the box. There are 2 power buttons for extra safety. I have shredded thousands of pages in the past few weeks and have not encountered a single jam so far. All in all I am very pleased with this shredder. It is easy to use the auto feeder saves me a lot of time and best of all I can run it for 20-30 minutes without having to let the shredder rest. This one is getting a 5 stars rating from me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like everyone have sensitive materials/mail that gets sent to my home that need shred or destroyed so no one gets my information I also work for a preschool as a PK4 teacher where I have to review full names and addresses etc with kids. In order to keep information private I needed a quality dependable micro cut shredder and this one did the trick! I loved how it wasn’t blaringly loud or obnoxious when shredding documents. It fit perfectly into my home office and was easily transferred to my preschool for my classroom use as well. The bin size was the perfect size for the product as it wasn’t too big or too small. It was easily removed and cleaned out with no issue. I did not experience any paper jams or issues when shredding the 10 page max. Overall this a quality shredder for a more affordable price than competitors. Thank you stellar panel for sending me this shredder!
