Micro cut shredder

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall this shredder exceeded my expectations in terms of performance and convenience. Efficiency and Performance From the moment I started using it I was impressed with its efficiency. It handles up to 10 sheets at a time effortlessly making quick work of my document pile. The shred size is perfect for ensuring sensitive information is thoroughly destroyed leaving tiny micro-cut pieces that are impossible to piece back together. Shred Size and Bin Capacity The micro-cut shred size is a standout feature for me offering a much higher level of security than standard strip-cut or cross-cut shredders. As for the bin capacity it holds a generous amount of shredded material before needing to be emptied. This means fewer trips to the trash and more time focusing on other tasks. Placement and Convenience I keep this shredder in my home office and its compact size fits perfectly beside my desk without taking up too much space. It's convenient to have it within arm's reach whenever I need to shred documents quickly. Ease of Use Using the shredder is incredibly straightforward. The controls are intuitive and I had no trouble getting it up and running right out of the box. Even emptying the bin is a breeze thanks to its easy-to-remove design. Noise Level One of the most pleasant surprises was the noise level. Shredders can be notoriously loud but this model operates relatively quietly. It’s certainly not silent but it’s much quieter than other shredders I've used in the past making it a lot less disruptive to my work environment. In conclusion the Staples 10-Sheet Micro-Cut Personal Shredder is a fantastic investment for anyone needing a reliable efficient and secure shredder. It combines great performance with user-friendly features making it an excellent choice for both home and small office use.

Great home or small office shredder

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This shredder has been an amazing upgrade compared to our previous shredder. We have a shredder for home use (mostly confidential mail medical documents tax/income related items etc. ) and. This shredder is very quiet fast and I love the micro-cut. The top slides back to expose the shredding slot (like a safety mechanism) but my 1.5yr old figured that our instantly. That's why I love that this shredder is on wheels. We keep in it the closet in our home office and we can just roll it out to use or empty as needed. The disposal bin slides out easily to be emptied.

Great shredder for home

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had been on the hunt for a shredder to use at home and I’ve been impressed with the Micro-Cut Shredder! It handled multiple sheets without jamming even when I used it nonstop. The micro-cut feature produces very small pieces which puts my mind at ease when it comes to security. It lasted a long time before needing a break due to overheating and the generous bin size accommodates a substantial amount of paper reducing the hassle of frequent emptying. It was much quieter than I’d expected it to be as well even when handling multiple sheets. Almost perfect—just wish it could last longer before overheating but overall a great shredder that helped me get rid of my “to shred” pile!

Great personal shredder

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is a shredders dream. The machine itself is a bit heavy but also very sleek modern looking and most importantly durable. Set up was simple and I didn’t have any issues with paper jamming. I shredded 8-10 sheets at a time with ease. The container that holds the shredded elements is big enough that you don’t have to empty it constantly (I’ve shred almost 300 documents without having to empty - you can see how full it’s getting from the small window in the front which is a plus). It’s compact so fits nicely in a small space near my workspace. The shredder is not very loud which is a definite plus. . I am very pleased with the overall efficiency of this product and would highly recommend it.

Great Basic Shredder

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a perfect basic light-duty shredder. It is well-constructed and relatively solid. It has a nice feature on the top of the shredder—there is a 'sliding' top that you have to slide to shred anything. When it is closed nothing can fall into the shredder accidentally. It is an efficient machine and the shred size is tiny so you don't have to empty it often (if you are using it a few times a day) maybe once per week. The bin capacity is large which is another feature I like. This model shreds up to ten sheets at once which is the perfect size for my office. I have a home office and keep the shredder beside my desk. It is a very easy machine to use. You slide the top and it is ready to use. It shuts off automatically after approximately five minutes. There is an on/off button if you prefer to use it that way but I find the slide top works great for me. This machine is just a bit noisy. However I wouldn't say this is a dealbreaker because it is reasonably priced and an excellent-performing machine.

Staples Shredder

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am delighted and impressed with this product. It was easily assembled and the instructions are simple. I tested it with a thick grocery bag folded up and it shredded it with ease. The shredder is quiet and has nice features such as casters a window in the bin and automatic start up and turn off. I will be using this product primarily at home for private documents but will also use it for unneeded paperwork from my classroom.

Compared to my 15-year-old shredder it has similar speed and performance efficiently handling multiple sheets at once without a hitch. This consistency in speed and functionality was impressive. Bin Capacity: The bin capacity of this shredder is more than sufficient for regular home office use. The fine shred it produces can be easily compacted allowing for extended use without frequent emptying. This is a significant improvement over older models that often required more frequent maintenance. Placement and Ease of Use: I kept this shredder in my home office and its compact size fits perfectly without taking up too much space. It's very easy to use with straightforward controls and minimal setup required. The design is user-friendly ensuring that even those who are not particularly tech-savvy can operate it with ease. Noise Level: Regarding noise while it’s not whisper-quiet the shredder's sound level is more than acceptable. It's quieter than a vacuum cleaner and I found it comfortable enough to use without ear protection (unlike when I vacuum). For those particularly sensitive to noise using earplugs might be beneficial but in my experience it's not necessary. Overall this shredder meets all my expectations for a home office environment combining efficiency capacity and ease of use into a compact and reliable device.

Definite upgrade

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Staples 20 Sheet paper shredder was a fantastic upgrade for my home office. My old shredder was only a 12 sheet and would struggle compared to the Staples 20 Sheet. The unit is heavier and only slightly larger in overall size but the increase in power and how fine the material is shredded is well worth it. This shredded will remain a key piece of my home office.
