I had a STAPLES Cross Cut Shredder for years until it finally gave up the ghost. Now I've moved up to a Micro-Cut. It takes longer but the results are more secure.

Good product but I’m questioning the claimed capabilities

This is a fairly recent purchase for me so I can’t comment on durability but the motor seems to struggle cutting anything close to the claimed 10 sheet capability. I feel like I need to shred no more than 6 or 7 sheets at a time. That said the micro-cut shredding is great for a product at this price point. I’m hopeful the motor will hold up to long term use.

This is our second staples shredder. We purchased our first one about five years ago and I have to say that this one is definitely an upgrade. This one is much quieter than the first. The micro cut saves space allowing more shredding before emptying. It also allows you to put a trash liner in. Who doesn't appreciate not having to clean up access shreds after struggling to get them all in the bag. Forward/ Bckwrd buttons are located inside next to shred area w/ a convenient covering. Wheels are an additional feature that allow it to fit nicely under my desk. Happy shredding!!

My old (15 yrs +) shredder died - purchased a new shredder - it turned out to be ‘defective’ - SUPER reps made getting a replacement as easy as 1 2 3…… in fact I think it only took 3 days welcome my replacement shredder. PS - I opted to receive a smaller unit which wasn’t available in my nearby Staples - no problem. It’s the perfect size - easy for me to move if needed - works perfectly. I certainly would recommend it to others. Thanks to one and all.
