This is a good shredder but not as good as I was anticipating from the description of shredding 150 pages. Yes the document shredder tray holds 150 pages and then feeds them into the shredder one page at a time. That takes about 11 - 14 minutes to shred 150 pages. After 45 minutes of shredding the shredder needs 40+ minutes to cool down. That is about 750 pages in two hours. The shredder actually shreds more pages per hour by manually inserting 8 - 10 pages at a time. The shredder can handle 8 - 10 pages manually at the same speed it document feeds one page at a time. The best solution is to get two shredders and manually feed them both at the same time. P.S. Have big trash bags handy because the cross cut shredder does an excellent job of keeping things confidential by creating small fluffy particles. The bin needs to be emptied somewhere between 250 and 350 pages. Maybe the next version will document feed three to four pages at a time with a larger trash bin for a strategic advantage. The shredder is a good shredder for the price. Just don't expect the document feeder to shred a handful of 40 pages in less than a minute.
Just purchased and unboxed this shredder today. Ran it intermittently for about an hour. Works as advertised. Slower than I had expected. The 20 page capacity might be a bit lofty. It seems more comfortable at the 10 page level depending on paper type/thickness. Quiet when operating. The one obvious deficiency is that there is no way to fasten liner bags to the container inside. If you drape the bags over the edge of the container it interferes with the front door closing and latching properly. If you try to loosely place the bag inside the container the shredded paper ends up all over the place. So I will not use a bag and empty the full container in the garbage bag. A bit messy and inconvenient but still workable. Overall it seems to be an average but reasonably good product at the price.
