The unit is quiet and has a couple fancy features but it is much smaller in bin capacity than two or three of other shredders that I have bought at Staples. It comes with a plastic trash bag to catch shreddings but the way the container is shaped it's hard to get the bag inserted in the shredder.
Shredded through my stack of papers quickly since I could put so many in at once. Reduced them to very small pieces which reduced the size of package for recycling.
Best shredder I have ever had. Nice safety feature and easy to empty. Spend a little extra when purchasing your next shredder and it will be well worth it.
So far so good. Have had it for about a month. Handled everything so far. The feeder part works for only a few dozen sheets at a time at most and feeds the first few quickly one at a time but after that wants to bunch up the rest and sometimes jams. Auto jam feature works well. You are (as someone commented) almost better and faster to do the straight feed. Haven’t found a bag that works and fits internally yet but I just use it without a bag. Micro cut does create some dust but shreds paper into very small bits for ultimate security.
Shredder has panel on top to slide close. When you open it the shredder automatically goes on. You must slide the top closed to shut it off. Directions suggests keeping it unplugged until you need to use. I keep it plugged in with the panel closed since it is used daily and we have no small children using the shredder. Really like the micro cut and quietness of the shredding. The basket does not easily slide back in to lock in place. I would recommend. i
The Shredder (ST62150) works great so far and is easy to use. The shredder head is very heavy so I needed the model with a pull out drawer. It also has casters so it's easy to move around.
