Folders thinner then expected

Most of the file folders I've used are slightly heavier then the Staples brand. I sometimes use file folders to make greeting cards. I needed red card stock and the color of these folders are a nice deep red. The box the folders came in is flimsy and was split opened when I received it. Customer service is super.

Genealogy Filing

These folders # 22946 are perfect for genealogy filing systems where you use the four colors (red green blue and yellow) to indicate the family line being followed. Referred to as the Mary Hill system also described on FamilySearch.org they make it so much easier to see things than using the plain manilla ones. I have decided to use Staples colored folders #22953 in deeper colors for the main family lines and the pastel 22946 for collateral lines. Item #22953 has purple added to the color mix but I am sure I will think of a use for them too.
