New scent is awful & reactive. Bring back the original!

After using the Softsoap Aquarium series soap at every sink in my house for years, maybe even decades, I can no longer buy this soap. This was my go-to soap, as the previous formula didn't irritate those who are sensitive to scented soaps. The new scent is heavy and irritates skin. It lingers on hands and transfers to food during handling after washing. Please bring back the old formula. Whatever new marketshare is gained through this new scent is unlikely to make up for the lost marketshare by those of us who can no longer buy this product.
Cons: Dries Skin, Unpleasant Smell

I would not buy this product again

This soap used to be great. It lathered well and was lightly/neutral scented, if any. Then all of a sudden my new stock changed. I thought I bought the wrong bottle or something. Nope. The new fragrance is perfumy. Clean to me is neutral. I don't want my hands smelling like something before I prepare or handle food. This soap used to be the gold standard. It was worth paying extra for. This soap was becoming hard to find the shelves, seemingly for a good reason. The generic store brands were unscented but never lathered well. RIP Aquarium Softsoap. Please bring back the old formula.

Terrible new scent! PLEASE bring back the old formula that was virtually fragrance free! We have been using the Aquarium Liquid Hand soap for years and wouldn't buy any other brand. We have many food and fragrance allergies in my family and trusted Softsoap until now. The new scent is awful and gives me a headache. Time to find a new company - no longer a softsoap customer since there are no longer any fragrance free options. You are no longer providing an option to consumers who have allergies and sensitivities to smells/scents.

I have been faithfully buying this hand soap for many years. I have allergies and sensitive skin. This last refill for the aquarium collection I noticed right away a new fragrance. I didn't see any warning on the bottle so I wasn't prepared for the overwhelming smell. It is also causing my hands to itch after using it. Luckily I have an older bottle upstairs because a lot of times I have to run to the bathroom to re-wash my hands after using the new refill in the kitchen.

Terrible new scent!

Why would a brand change their most popular product that has been the same for many, many years?!? I bought a refill like I have been doing for over 20 years, brought it home, opened it up, began to fill all of my home's soap dispencers, and then I smelled the strongest fruity smell - with no warning on the package! I decided to try it out, but I can't do it. I have had to dump all of the soap out, I may have to throw away all of my soap dispensers if I can't get the smell out! It is disgusting, makes me nauseous, and lingers forever. The lather seems to be different as well. Please change it back to the old formula!!

New formula is TERRIBLE

I have been using this soap for 20+ years. The new formula/smell is terrible and overpowering. Gives me a headache and makes me nauseous. I can no longer purchase or use this product. The new label design is also bad. I looked at buying other soft soap hand soaps but read the reviews and apparently all soap formulas were changed for the worse. I've purchased this for years because of the very mild sent. Since the change the soap smells terrible and is overpowering. SOFT SOAP YOUR LOOSING A TON OF LOYAL CUSTOMERS.

New scent awful

I want to add my voice to the chorus here. The new scent is terrible! Makes me feel sick. The old scent was hardly noticeable, barely anything if anything at all....so just fresh and clean. This one is vaguely fruity in an artificial bad way. PLEASE bring back the original! I have bought it for years and have it at 6 sinks and showers in my house. You are forcing me to search for another brand.

I've bought this brand of Softsoap exclusively for years specifically because it didn't trigger any of my reactions to fragrance. I just opened a new bottle today and there is a new perfumey/cologney scent that is unfortunately causing reactions. Also the smell is just bad. If you used soft soap for similar reason, you may need to look elsewhere now.
