great file storage

I purchased these to store our files and make sure that if we ever had a minor flood or water damage in our home our files would be safe. I love that they hold legal hanging files. So easy to store our files!
Pros: Compatible with other Filing Products, Quality Construction, Stacking Strength, value

Great storage box

Like the storage box for file folders, downsizing my 4 drawer metal file cabinet. It is strong and durable. Right size and easy to store. Would buy again.

These boxes are wonderful a long time coming! I have bought the cardboard boxes for years and they become mishapend, wet and the lids don’t close properly . These plastic ones are fantastic and they close tight as well as keep out moisture. I love these Bankers Boxes! They stack beautifully and are easy to take with you when traveling.
Pros: heavy duty, lightweight, easy to carry

Need Slimmer Profile, more interior space

The storage box is durable, has a nice design, although I could not find a clear box with black lids and handles instead of just blue. The stacking feature needs a little work, you can knock over a stack of boxes very easily because they don't lock together that well when stacked.

Handles Weekest Part of this Product

Our school district ordered over 200 of these boxes for our teachers. We were very excited that they looked so sturdy and were clear. However, of those 200+, so far 6 of the boxes have come out of the carton with broken handles. (We have 20 more cartons to be delivered, so the count could rise.) Sure, it might be the shipping or the handling, but when they got to us, it was clear they couldn't take it. The handles seem be very brittle where they attach to the box. They attach with only a plastic pin on each side and they shatter easily at the corners of the handles. I was really excited to be able to give something nice and sturdy to our teachers (teacher use, not student use), but now I dread the first email that they are breaking. I have materials stored in cardboard boxes that have lasted for years and I wonder if these plastic boxes will survive even one year. The body could be taped, but once those handles break, the box is not repairable.

Cons: brittle handles, slide easily when stacked

Expectations Exceeded

I purchased this bankers box because I felt the lid would remain securely closed no matter how full and no matter how it was handled. The product has lived up to my expectations. It continues to perform well even when it is handled every day.

Just what I was looking for

I was looking for a box that would accommodate my tax files. I want to put them in my attic, but we often have squirrels that find their way in and love to shred paper for their nests. The plastic will eliminate that problem and keep my files dry and organized.
