[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My boyfriend bought this tape to do his bedroom and when we pealed it off it started ripping the paint off. He now has to spend more money on paint and redo his whole room because of this tape!! I would not recommend this product to anyone!!

Wouldn't stay

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tape is awful! When it was removed it ripped along the painted edge and even took the new paint along with the old paint off the wall! Will never buy again.

Worst Tape Ive ever used

Bought this tape for a large project, 14 day removal ?? good luck getting the tape to even stick to the wall for 14 minutes. This tape fell off the wall every time I turned around to tape something else and made my project 10x harder than it needed to be

WORST PAINTER'S TAPE EVER!!!!!!

I am extremely dissatisfied with the Scotch Blue 2093EL tape. When removing the tape, it not only pulled most of the paint around the edges, but it also ripped off paint from my ceiling. This means sanding, priming, painting the walls again!! Plus the ceiling now needs to be painted!!!! I can't imagine that this product was tested - after reading other reviews I hope this company reformulates this product because it STINKS and is going to cost me a lot more time and money to get a simple project completed.

Doesn't stick to painted surfaces

I spent an over an hour taping walls, cabinets, and trim as necessary to not get paint on surfaces where I do not want to paint, the purpose of Painter's tape. I come back to the area the next morning and most of the taping that I did the prior night needs to be redone. It has fallen off of the surfaces. I also need to go and purchase more tape, NOT 3M and tape everything again. I thought Painter's tape is supposed to help save time while painting, well not this tape, It has caused me more work. I previously purchased an off brand of painter's tape and it worked extremely better than this highly recognized and respected brand of 3M.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very poor choice in painters tape. We spent the extra due to painting with a a dark color for the "edge lock" but the tape didn't even stick to baseboards or clean preped walls. Big disappointment.

Lol don't ever buy. By far the worst painters tape I have ever used. It can't even stick to itself. Just falls apart.
