[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had never used tape before, have always used an edging tool. My daughter insisted I try it to speed paint process....it will now take longer to patch all the places where the tape pulled off the paint and pulled off the finish on cabinets and woodwork. What a pain. I will stick with the edging tool! Yes I waited till paint was good and dry!

Distructive tape

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought a few rolls of this tape because of the edge lock. What a mistake. The tape took not only the paint off my ceiling but also some of the dry wall. Now I have to spackle when it didn't need it in the first place. I'm not new at painting and my walls were prepped the right way. This tape was sticky in spots and not sticking at all in others. Thanks scotch blue for making this a project that has to be done again.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your review, we are sorry to hear of the damage you experienced. This product requires 30 days for the paint to cure before applying the tape to it, this is to allow the paint to bond to the drywall/wood surface prior to being taped. If the paint had time to fully cure we would not expect any pulling of the paint. We have sent you an e-mail to offer assistance and look forward to hearing back from you. For any customers with questions please contact us at www.scotchblue.com.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tape wouldn't even stick to itself. It only has adhesive qualities when it wants to be difficult to remove. Eight bucks a roll...what a waste.

Needs Renamed. This stuff is a JOKE

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought several rolls of this tape and used it when I painted my sons 1st home while he was in Basic Training for the Army. We used Sherwin Williams paint on his smooth surfaced walls. Needless to say, the "edge-Lock" feature does not work AT ALL on this stuff! Every inch of this tape failed miserably. I had to go back and repaint every inch of where the tape was supposed to be. I even had to change colors of some walls to cover up the spots that had bled over onto the other wall. The ceiling has a new coat of paint as well (I had not intended on painting the ceiling) since the tape did not do as it advertised. Don't waste your money on this product. If I would have known, I wouldn't have wasted $50 on this tape.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I first used this tape around my ceilings so I could paint the walls. When I finished and removed it 3 days later, it peeled my ceiling paint off EVERYWHERE the tape was. This tape claims "14 day removal".
I then tried using the tape on my walls (several weeks later) to paint stripes. It will not stick to the wall. It literally falls right off. Both my walls and my ceilings are slightly textured. This tape claims "multi-surface".
This tape has wasted my time and money now on more than one occasion. This product does absolutely nothing that it claims.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I usually use the regular green painter's tape - not sure which brand - but decided to use this product instead. Big mistake. It ripped off all of the paint underneath it, after being on only about two hours. I have done a LOT of painting - not a newbie.
