This tape does not do what it's advertised to do. I've tried it on multiple different surfaces. With different types of paints. And have a good deal of bleeding regardless of how firmly I press that edge down with the tape. Not worth the money will not buy it again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Does not Seal, No better than standard Scotch Blue

This is no better than the Scotch blue that is standard. It did NOT seal. I am a professional furniture painter and do lots of decorative painting on furniture (e.g. stripes).

Caused Damage

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For some reason this tape either ripped the paint off my trim, or when I was trying to remove the tape, the tape would rip where there was paint on it. Then, I had to pick at the remaining tape and break my nails to get it off. At one point I had to use a razor blade to get the remaining tape off. We just had our windows and trim professionally painted, so now it all needs fixed. Never again. I went online to see if maybe this type of tape wasn't supposed to be used on trim, but it clearly states that it works great on trim and doesn't cause damage.

Ripped paint off baseboards & crown moulding!!

I bought this tape (even though it was more expensive than other brands) specifically because it advertised "Advanced Edge-Lock for super sharp paint lines". By the time I was taping the 2nd half of the room, the 1st half was peeling away from the wall, so I had to go back and press it down again. I had the tape in place less than 36 hours and when I removed it, it took the paint right off the baseboards & trim!! I've NEVER had that happen, even when using the cheapest brand. Now I have to paint all the trim, which I hadn't planned on doing. VERY disappointed!!!

I use Scotch blue almost on a daily basis I love it It sticks where it is supposed too and comes off clean

Terrible; Do NOT recommend!

I had my house professionally painted approximately 2.5 years ago (including all of the trim which was beautifully painted). We decided to change the wall color and put down the painters tape on the painted trim. After the painting was complete, we began to pull off the painters tape only to discover that it was PULLING OFF THE PAINT ON THE TRIM. Now a simple DIY project has turned into a nightmare for this mom-to-be. WILL NEVER RECOMMEND!

Damaged ceiling

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tape damaged about 95% of the ceiling which I taped to protect while I was painting the walls. Now I have to free-hand repaint the ceiling around the edges. If I wanted to do this, I wouldn't have bought this tape in the first place. The tape bled around most of the edges as well. I am very disappointed and angry.
