Clean lines

Does not live up to promises!

I bought this tape to help speed the process of getting our house ready to sell. I ready everything I could find to make sure it would work for our purposes, to keep paint off my trim and cabinets. But as I pulled the tape off of the side of my bathroom cabinet, it also took off the finish. Now I'm stuck. No way to fix it and I can't afford to replace the cabinet. So disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easy to use!

Its easy to apply and i can remove it with no problem when i am done. I am a very happy customer

Adhesive Too Aggressive

I bought the #2093EL 3M Scotch Blue Trim + Baseboard painter's tape with Edge Lock adhesive to keep paint from creeping underneath on less than perfectly smooth surfaces. I used it to temporarily hold up panels for a plastic glue-up tub surround so I could measure and mark them for trimming. I also used it to mask off the edges before troweling on the tub surround adhesive and then immediately removed the tape which pulled the face paper off the drywall. It also removed some of the latex PVA drywall primer as well.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A waste of money

My experience is that the tape, 3M Scotch blue edge-lock will not stick to the sheetrock walls. I just finished taping a large room, went to get the paint and the tape had fallen from the walls. The sheetrock was installed, textured and painted a month ago. We were flooded by Hurricane Harvey. I did not need this frustration on top of our losses.

neat clean baseboards

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] covering the edges of the baseboards was easy enough using a putty knife to apply tape onto baseboards. This kept paint and splatters from the stained woodwork. Also covered over the receptacles so that they were not painted.
