Best tape ever used

I love to paint but not having to prep. I decided I was going to paint our bedroom and it's a good size. I was diligent in prepping with the scotch blue edge lock tape and it was alot quicker than I've ever experienced. Once I started painting I was so happy at how nice the edges came out when I took the tape off. Had to use alot of it as we have two windows and 3 doorways in our room. Plus we have popcorn ceilings with cheap molding at ceiling. We have a manufactured home and alot of the choices for finishes were not mine, they came with the house. With the edge lock I didn't have to go back to fix my mess ups which there are usually a good amount. It was a bit more expensive than other prep tapes but well worth the money. I will only use Scotch blue edge lock tape from now on. This tape will work well when I paint furniture also which is one of my next projects. Thanks for such a great product.

I have been using Scotch brand painter's/masking tape ever since I bought my first four-plex. I have since acquired two more four-plexes and have gone through 3 different houses. I have to admit, I was excited about this new product with the Edge-Lock for multi-surfaces. Now that I have given it a try, I have to say the this is the best scotch product I have ever used.

After working myself to death making sure tape was applied properly, dark blue paint bled all over my baseboards and window frames. Terrible protection..."edge lock" is a joke. I have a bedroom that is completely ruined thanks to my trusting this product. Thanks, 3M for a terrible product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently used this tape to paint the edge of a DIY pet food station, and when I peeled the tape away, I had clean lines! I was pleasantly surprised, as this was the first time I had used the ScotchBlue Edge-Lock line. Will definitely use again.

Worst Tape Ever

This is the worst tape - it took forever to put it on - then even longer to take it off. It was $2.00 more than the "generic" brand and not worth the extra money. We've painted a bathroom using this tape - I have more the 3/4 of the roll left - I'm throwing it away. So disappointed - don't waste your money. I wish it was possible to rate with zero stars.

This product has NO STICKING POWER

I am remodeling my kitchen and painting the trim on my porch. The blue painters tape used in my kitchen stuck so that after then paint dried and I pulled off the tape, off came the paint in sheets. So now I am repainting the trim on my porch. Home Depot offers a new Scotch Blue painters tape with Edge Lock Protection. I am up early to prep, mask off the entire porch and as I am proceeding to the next wall, down comes the tape. I am using masking tape to hold up the painters tape. This tape has no sticking power and costs about $2.00 more. Weather conditions are perfect. Not too cold and not too hot or damp. I am sorely disappointed in this product. after Ran to Home Depot to buy painter's tape. I experienced this non-stick with two roles of this tape. I can honestly say DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT!!! took the paint off my walls!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I painted my walls with a good paint, TWO WEEKS later I taped the walls to paint the ceilings, the tape was on the wall for abut an hour on each area. When I took the tape off it peeled the paint from my wall in most spots. Rather large spots at that! Here are just two small areas that I took pictures of.
