I tried a different (green) tape first.Well,lets just say that it did not work as well as it should have.The lines were not nearly as clean as I thought they should be.Then I used the Scotch Advanced Multi-Surface and there was a huge difference.Cleaner lines with barely any bleeding that was very easily touched up.All in all a great product.I am still using the blue Scotch tapes in all my work.Great product.Would recommend to all.

Worst Brand name tape I have ever used

Has a lot of curl coming off the roll. Seems to have going on correct amount of adhesive.
However after it was painted on its' personalty changed to just plain awful.. It came off in pieces. Which makes for a lot of paint going underneath the finger nail to pick it off the work. The adhesive coming off was 2 to 3 times more sticky. It has ruined a couple of the windows that had filter film on them by lifting off the working part of the filter. There was NO NO NO Warning on what NOT to use it on. I will tell every body that 3M and this product needs to go back to R & D. This has firmed up my mind to not buy anymore of an kind of 3M tapes. Highly over priced for a poor quality tape.

Don't use this tape unless you want damage!

I used this tape when I remodeled my kitchen. I have always used Scotch Blue tape in the past and was hopeful that the edge lock would help me not get any bleed through. Boy it sure does adheare well. So well in fact, it tore off the ceiling paint, door trim and laminate on the side of my brand new cabinets. I would not recommend this tape.

Does the Trick

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tape makes it very easy to cut from one color to another. It has just the right amount of adhesive so that it doesn't pull paint off with it.
Beats using a utensil or something else as a straight edge to achieve good results.
