This Tape is Amazing!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tape saved me hours in painting my dining room. I did a border and had alot of moldings to work around. It made my amateur job look flawless and professional! Most people don't realize how critical the right tape is when doing a painting job....don't skimp!! Get ScotchBlue!

Don't leave it on too long

I was using this tape on some 6 panel doors that I was staining and finishing. I am doing one side of the door at a time - stain, flip, stain, flip, finish coats, flip, finish coats.
Because of some unrelated circumstances, I had to abandon that project for a couple months. The doors were in a room kept at 78 degrees. I had stained both sides and was in the process of doing finish coats on the first side. The bottom side edges were taped so that any runs would be confined to the edge of the door.
When I returned to the work, the tape was bonded to the stained wood and left a lot of residue. It was very hard to peel off.
I have inspected the packaging on another roll of the same tape, and you really have to read the fine print to find the "14 day" disclaimer. Sure would have been nice to have that featured more prominently on the packaging. In fact, it should be called "14 day tape" or "60 day tape". This has been an expensive and frustrating lesson to learn for me.
Now I'm combing the web site trying to find tips on how to get the glue off of my stained doors without damaging the doors and I can find nothing. Guess I'll have to call customer service.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Works like a charm

I am a big fan of the blue tape. It has made life so much easier in terms of getting clean lines on the ceiling and window sills. We have also used it to do faux wall paper that required precise lines and it worked well there too.

Recently we painted several bedrooms in the house and tried Scotch Blue. Working with several surfaces we found this to be quick and efficient. Although painting isn't my favorite activity, I can recommend Scotch Blue without reservation.

House of Crown Molding

I have been painting various projects from house's - exterior and interior, furniture etc... anything to do with a home for 40 plus years. This tape beats the other "Green Stuff" hand down, preventing bleed through and easibility of the tape removal after-
You team has hit a Home Run with me, the only tape I need to buy!
