Several boxes from one pack had cardboard construction flaws (surface paper not completely glued to the corregation). Box sides are sometimes cut a bit short so handholds may not match through all side layers. Box covers could use redesign -- they are not heavy duty enough to withstand much weight or prolonged use and the overlap with the box sides is a bit too shallow. Separating the box pieces from each other and freeing flaps can cause box damage. In spite of it all they generally get the job done.
Have bought hundreds of these boxes over the years. Recently purchased 50 to store a 1000 book collection. Boxes are strong easy to handle and the right size for heavy items such as hardcover books.
These storage boxes are just the right size for storing books. Books are heavy. This size allows same-type books to be stored together and then can easily be picked up and stacked. Great for magazines. Also there is plenty of room to write on the box. Be sure to get markers in different colors to identify different family members' belongings. The boxes are very easy to assemble and the lids fit perfectly. These boxes are just perfect for both legal and letter sized hanging folders. This allows for easy document storage. Don't forget clothing and collectables. Storing away seasonal clothes is easy with these boxes. Boxes dedicated to winter clothes can be turned around and "summer" can be written on the opposite end. Once again color markers make identification even easier.
