I bought these boxes to store items in my bedroom while I completed wall repair and painting. I found they were easy to assemble and stored much more than I had expected: books photo albums decorative items cosmetics and more. The boxes were very sturdy reinforced by the securely-fitting lids. I stacked them four-to-five at a time and despite standing in this position for nearly a month they never buckled or cracked despite the heavy contents. The boxes were thick enough to withstand paint drips and still protect the contents from paint damage.
I have been purchasing these boxes for years to store and move items in my classroom. As an Elementary Education teacher I have had to move classrooms and grade levels. This means organizing and storing lots of materials. What I like most about these boxes is that they are sturdy and strong. They can be filled to the brim with boxes with no problem. They require no tape. Best of all I can lift and move them all by myself with the handle spaces. They are just the right size to never be too heavy. While they are designed to store files (which they do perfect-the lid will even go on with hanging files) they are also great for decoration paper and book storage. They stack up nicely too. Being all the same size creates a very organized storage space. I would recommend them again and again. Worth the money to buy instead of using a bunch of junkie non-matched taped up boxes!
I think the regular pricing is a bit high for this bulk pack but worth the money especially when you really need them. You can help yourself by disounting them with Staples coupons or by using your Staples Reward points. Catch them on sale and stock up if you know you will be needing them. These boxes are very sturdy and great for packing books or other heavy items when moving or just for putting things in storage. Great for many other uses besides keeping records or files in them too. They stack well and are strong enough to withstand multiple moves and shuffling. They are very easy to assemble too. They really make moving much easier!
These things are awesome. They're pretty big but not so big you can overfill them and break them. They fit both legal size files and letter size: legal go in the wide way. The design of the bottom is also genius: it's not held up by glue but by the side panels which interlock with the handles so the weight is supported by your hands. There's an area on the side where you can label the box - and while many people don't do it they should because you won't remember what's inside where it was located etc. And the final great feature is that they're white so you can read the labels and markings.
If you are trying to tame your home into being organized you got to sort it all out. Staples Economy boxes are my method for sorting the pile. These boxes are not just for files. Use them to sort your craft gear toys keepsakes and all assorted household treasures. They stack easiy and efficiently and are less than $1.50 per box. I find that these boxes last long as well. I also use them to store clothing Christmas decorations fabric scrapes and of course paper in the form of kids school work and family mementos. Staples Storage Boxes are my go-to method for home organization.
This is a good sturdy and dependable box for storing a variety of items. My husband uses them for parts storage. I have used them to store books and dvds.
