The boxes come flattened with score and fold lines to build the box and box lid. Excellent value and the boxes are very sturdy for their size

Quality at economy price

I was surprised at the size of these at first but soon realized that they were easier for us to handle than the longer boxes. And even though they are not heavy duty they are strong enough for storing files and the smaller size is actually a bonus when moving and stacking. I feel that this is a good deal and would order them again the next time I need boxes for storing files. If you are looking for basics without the cumbersome bulk this is a good product. I don't know how well they would hold up under repeated moves.

I bought these for moving since some things may make two moves before they are "home." They stack in neat piles and are compact--being small enough to be manageable to carry for most things. It will also make it easier to downsize and just cart boxes off if I decide I no longer need items.

Definitely a winner

I used these boxes to store over 1500 professional size video tapes and I couldn't be happier with a product. Even though they are described as "light duty construction" as long as they are completely filled you can stack them as high as ten boxes (that's as high as we could reach without a ladder) and they hold their shape.

...the perforations sometimes don't separate cleanly on the box top portion...difficult to 'tear' off n many without leaving ripped portion...
