No lip on bottom where paper sits so if you aren't using the ruler papers slide off the stand. I taped a ledge along the bottom like the older type stand had to hold my papers in place but it looks very tacky but gets the job done.

Great for data entry work. The ruler doesn't slide easily but maybe because its still new.
