No lip on bottom where paper sits so if you aren't using the ruler papers slide off the stand. I taped a ledge along the bottom like the older type stand had to hold my papers in place but it looks very tacky but gets the job done.

Would be nice if the clip at the top adjusted to hold 8.5 x 11 sheets without hanging them. It adjusts up for larger paper but it is too tall for 8.5 x 11.

I got this for my office girl to use when she is entering materials purchases. She needed something to hold the paper closer to her because her vision is a little blurry right now due to pregnancy. She says it is perfect. It holds both letter and legal size paper in both portrait and landscape orientation. She likes that the line guide is lightly tinted so she can easily see where she's at on the page and what's coming up. Also the guide moves the entire length of the stand and stays in place without sliding down. She calls it her little helper.

This product is very good except for one thing. If you don't use the paper guide then the paper slides off the bottom. I fixed this by putting tape on the bottom and creating a lip so the paper would stay behind the tape. I don't mind do that as it's functional except that it makes this nice-looking product a litte chinzy looking with the tape on it. I only have to put any given piece of paper on this for 30 seconds to 60 seconds type from it and then I'm on to the next item. I don't like having to take the time to keep putting the paper under the guide. I love the look of it though.

Needs improvement

The grey bar is supposed to make it easy on the eyes but it catches glare from overhead office lights. Also the bar sticks when you get to the curve making it take longer to move the bar. It is still a great improvement from the 8 yr old holder I had and it is quite sturdy.
