This copy holder was the only one available at the Staples store when I visited. While it does the job adequately I'm not thrilled with it. The curved design in my opinion is nothing more than a marketing ploy. It does not make anything easier or better. The entire piece has a cheap feel to it. Of special note is the clip at the top to hold papers. This clip is not the kind you pinch to open - you have to lift it up and slide the papers underneath the clip. I am elderly and this style clip is almost impossible to manage with my stiff arthritic fingers. Consequently I just prop my papers on the stand not using the clip most of the time. While I'm not 100% happy with this purchase I will say it's better than not having anything at least.

I have a special needs student using it to help provide better visual access for his school work.
This product is NOT designed well! The bottom edge has no LIP to actually hold the papers ON The curved back (that would seem to be BETTER) since it has no lower lip edge to prevent the papers from sliding right off- THEY DO JUST THAT! But then you think the Clamp-on Guide that lies in front of the papers would actually prevent that- well IT DOES NOT! Waste of money!!!

Effective and Inexpensive

I bought this so I would have an inexpensive holder for an android tablet. When I'm not on travel the gtablet is my dining room computer.
The magnifier/place holder is not perfectly horizontal and not adjustable so it is not fully effective for full width text without tweaking. I use this for holding sheet music with lines too tall for it anyway. I'm not sure if it is the curved back that helps but I haven't needed to use the clamp so far. If all you need to do is hold a piece of paper at the right angle for viewing this gets the job done as cheaply as possible. It's a copy holder as advertised and not built for holding heavy books.
