Not too secure. When lifting the lid the cover comes off. The clip to secure barely holds the cover. Have an older version which is much better. Cheaply made

This item is very hard to open. It takes multiple tries and takes two hands. You have to push down on the top of the box while pulling out on the latch. I have purchased these boxes for about 10 years. They used to be made very well but a change was made to the box last year so they now have this problem with the latch.
