This is the perfect portable file box. I really like the addition of the flip up storage for paper clips and things. I have several of these and love each one.

I needed to carry files from the office to home and back and be able to access them easily. This box functions as intended but with a couple of caveats. It is not well balanced and may lean one direction when held from the handle; if the lid is open to access the contents the "hinge" will become "unhinged" and has to be reassembled.

This size of this file tote perfectly fits my needs to hold & organize my personal files with room to spare. The bin & lid themselves feel durable but I do wish the rear hinge connection between the two was more substantial or at least reinforced with a wire rod. The first time I opened the bin one end of this connection lost its footing & came unattached so I now find myself opening it delicately when I want to open & search through the bin. This isn't something I'll be opening a ton or using to transport files anywhere so it's not a huge factor in my case but would be something to consider based on how you'd like to use this tote. That & I keep forgetting which way the front claps flips open & fear that I'll break it off by trying to open it the wrong way. Another delicate area & operation each time.

This is cheap and flimsy. The clasp is not well designed. Not recommended. Buy a different product. Don't buy this "TRU RED" brand.
