This is a great file box for the price. My only complaint is that the lid cannot stand open. There is no stopper to keep it from falling back. Any items in the lid compartment make this especially awkward.

I expected something inexpensive (read cheap) to be rather flimsy and I wasn’t disappointed. The box bottom was almost OK except for the clasp which doesn’t hold very well and the handle doesn’t feel sturdy enough to carry even a medium amount of files. The top has what looks like a convenient tray but it is very shallow and the clasp doesn’t hold well either. Postage stamps address labels and other flat lightweight items will work OK - but be prepared to have to pick them up from time to time if you inadvertently bump the lid. Finally the two “snap-on” hinges of the top are also very flimsy and prone to SNAP OFF if you’re not careful. After reading this review I decided to take this tote back and spend a little more money for a more substantially built one - perhaps a tote with a handle and wheels. I cannot recommend this tote.

It is the correct size and weight for me. I am worried that it will break because three of the TRU RED box were broken on the shelf at Staples when I bought this one.
