Rubber bands are not stretchy enough and colors full. I finally went through my multi size /colored rubber bands I got about five years ago. Brighter colors and nice tension on all sizes.
What I was looking for. I bought all the same size & could never find what I needed. This assortment is what I needed.

Almost every day I have a need or use for rubber bands. Formerly when I opened a cellophane bag of pecans or walnuts I would fold the bag closed and use a clip to seal it and toss it into the freezer. Unfortunately the clip would slip off when I was looking for other items in the freezer. Then I would have to stop looking for what I needed and pick up the scattered nuts. Now I would fold over the bag opening with a rubber band I would secure the bag by placing around the bag from top to bottom. This really worked well. Whenever I have more than 1 piece of out-going which I will either place in my mailbox for pick up or which I will drop off at a USPS outside box I secure the mail with a rubber band. It is now secure and a lot easier to slip into those PO boxes. While doing handwork such as embroidery canvas work or sewing there are many times when my fingers slip off the needle so I keep a rubber band ( a wide one) handy and I grasp the needle with the rubber band and pull the needle through easily. What better item than a rubber band keeps those rolls of bubble wrap from unwrapping or rolls of gift wrap or the many little bundles of fabrics which are too small to fold neatly. Then there are the cereal boxes which once opened never stay closed with the tab provided as the cereal bulks up and is too wide for the box. I do the same with boxes of pasta and crackers.
