Very few things at Staples are simple. I somehow knew that rubber bands would be on a bottom shelf but I went up and down ever isle before I found them. What isle category would have been a better clue that this type of office supply would be located in this isle?

Economy Rubber Bands

We have been using these rubber bands for years and have found them to be good for multi-uses in our ofice. We even kept some in our outside storage and they would stay viable for at least two years. We use them prinimary for securing archectural plans together. But these rubber bands can be used for a multitude of uses. And they are economical as well. Keep a handfull in your briefcase or your work truck. In the field or at the office thhese rubber bands are just the thing to have around!

The rubber bands are ok but why don't the bands last longer like they did in the old days. Is there any way to treat or store the rubber bands to last longer especially since I only needed a half dozen. It will be a while until I use the rest hopefully before they dry out.
