First time using new pencil sharpener the lead kept braking try again doing it slowly ...same problem. The wood quality seems poor as well as the lead. Requesting a refund

I don't know how a pencil can be "broken" but these will not sharpen cleanly and there is always a piece of the wood either on the lead so it will not write correctly or the lead just fall out. Worst pencils I've ever purchased. Complete garbage. Thought I was loosing my mind since I couldn't get a pencil to perform properly.

I like old fashioned pencils. No plastic and they last longer. Sure you have to sharpen them but that's easy. These pencils from Staples fit the bill perfectly. Plus I like they come ni their own paper box. Again no plastic fill up a landfill or poison future generations.
