I used these to rubber band the leaves on my daffodils - something I do every year to permit the foliage to "ripen" while rebuilding the bulb. I don't put the rubber bands on tight because I don't want to destroy the foliage just neaten up my garden. These lasted about 2 weeks outside and then started to fall apart. I've used other "economy" rubber bands that are better for this job. So not my favorite.
Every year at this time I need hundreds of rubber bands. I use them to tie back the remaining green leaves of my daffodils. They have to stay attached until they turn yellow so that thy feed the bulbs for next year’s flowers. This product is perfect.
The rubber bands are amazing! They stretch when you pull the outer sides in opposite directions. They expand a very sizeable distance. Then when you reduce your outward force the band contracts back to the original size. I find this very useful when securing objects. The inward force provided by the bands help bind objects together. The smell is acceptable and the color is a nice putty.
