In today's pro-industry anti-consumer environment it is refreshing to find a product that performs as promised. Staples does just that with most of its office supplies and the Staples® Economy Rubber Bands Size #64 1/4 lb. are no exception.They seem to be made of the actual rubber indicated in the name and come in a handy reclosable zip-lock bag. This helps prevent the number one problem with this class of product... excessive dryness. UV exposure and consequent degradation of the rubber compound is exacerbated by leaving the product in the sun but this is nowhere near the problem of dryness which causes the rubber to become less flexible brittle and less likely to retain the expected tensile strength.I make the vast majority of my income providing litigation support to attorneys engaged in product liability lawsuits. In ten years I have not seen a single case of wrongful death or dismemberment due to a failure of Staples® Economy Rubber Bands to perform as advertised.

Great for homeade sunshade

I used these rubber bands to hold cardboard slats that move out from sun visor to block sun behind rearview mirror. They are the right thickness and hold the boards perfectly.
