I work for a school district and when I'm setting up a new school or building, I stick a piece of painters tape on any of the furniture that is damaged. The blue tape stands out and is very easy to find when walking a vendor through each room to show them the damages I found. Once we have done the walk-thru I relocate that piece of tape to the underside of the furniture so I can find it when the replacement furniture arrives. It makes it so much easier doing it that way.
I have used this tape when painting my bedroom, I left it on for a few days and when I took it off it did not damage the surface. It is a must have when painting.
[Employee of 3m-scotchblue] I love using this tape when I paint! Mainly because I do drastic color changes. The tape stays in place when u put it there! It doesn't shift around on your carpet. Every other tape shifted and I always got a speck of paint on my white carpet. Doesn't happen with the 3M tape. I also have textured walls, and it doesn't pull the paint of my wall. Every other tape I bought did!
I teach children's theater. Part of the kids' experience is to build and paint their own sets. ScotchBlue Painter's Tape is easy for both the kids (as young as 6) and the adults (well into their 80's) to use. It sticks well, but is easy to reposition. It holds tight to the set walls, keeping paint where it's supposed to be. Clean up is simple, our sets look crisp and unique, and the kids are SO PROUD that they did it themselves. Thank you Scotch Blue Painter's Tape.
I use for all purposes. I have a roll by the front door to leave a note when going out. I have a roll near the kitchen, so the kids can make pictures and put them on the refrigerator. And of course I have the one in the garage for true painting, but I must admit that is the one that gets used the least. I also use them on Buckets and Baskets and Boxes for LABELING. I think I do that the most. I even organized the neighbors pantry with LABELED baskets. But MOST OF ALL, when I visit a Hospital or REHAB center, I use it to put SIGNS over the patients bed, like PLEASE COFFEE WITH EVERY MEAL. or PLEASE CUT FOOD, only have use of one arm for now. or PLEASE TALK LOUD, Hard of Hearing. I add smiley faces and the signs work great!!!
